Custom software solutions
Custom software development from the first MVP to systems that have run for years: MVPs, SaaS products, web applications, APIs and integrations, the modernisation of legacy systems and migration to the cloud. Dedicated engineers for your team, or the whole project delivered from scope to release.
Solutions we deliver
Each page covers what the work includes, the ways to work with us and the questions clients ask first.
MVP development
MVP development services for founders and product teams: scoping, a Figma prototype, a web or mobile build and launch on a stack that carries the next version, by dedicated MVP developers or as a project.
SaaS development
SaaS development services: multi-tenant architecture, subscriptions and billing, enterprise single sign-on, support tooling and releases without downtime, by dedicated SaaS developers or as a project.
Web application development
Web application development services: customer portals, internal tools, dashboards and progressive web apps, with the backend and hosting included, by dedicated web developers or as a project.
API development
API development and integration services: REST and GraphQL APIs, third-party integrations, event-driven messaging and webhooks, monitored on every connection, by dedicated API developers or as a project.
Legacy modernisation
Legacy software modernisation services: take-overs that start with a read-only review, upgrades to current .NET, Java and PHP, and replacement in steps, by dedicated engineers or as a modernisation project.
Cloud migration
Cloud migration services: workload assessment, landing zones in Terraform, and database and application moves to Azure, AWS or Google Cloud with a planned cut-over, by dedicated cloud engineers or as a project.
Covered elsewhere on the site
.NET development
ASP.NET Core APIs, Azure Functions, EF Core and SQL Server from our largest engineering practice, backed by a Top Rated Plus Upwork agency. Take-overs of existing codebases welcome.
Cloud and DevOps
Azure Functions, Azure SQL with Always Encrypted, Terraform for every resource and GitHub Actions pipelines, with drift detection and cost control built in from the start.
Outsourcing from Ukraine
How to outsource software development to BigTree108, a registered Ukrainian company of more than 30: dedicated engineers (outstaffing), projects delivered end to end and take-overs of existing systems, under one contract with the IP assigned to you and people who work your hours.
Managed application support
Second and third line support of live systems inside your SLA and your ticket queue: triage, fixes, releases, patching and on-call cover, by engineers who also build, on European or North American hours.
How every solution project runs
A written plan before code
Scope, architecture, release plan and an estimate you can hold us to, written down and agreed before the build starts.
A first release you can judge
A small working piece delivered early, so you see the team’s work before committing to the rest.
Your accounts from the first day
Repositories, cloud subscriptions, design files and the tracker in your name, with access for our people granted and removed by you.
Engineering rules that hold
Tests that ship with every feature, zero warnings, CodeQL on every push and dependencies on current releases, with security advisories applied as unconditional upgrades.
Environments rebuilt from code
Every cloud resource in Terraform, deployed from GitHub Actions with federated credentials, so an environment can be rebuilt and nothing is clicked together by hand.
Billed from logged hours
One agreement with BIG TREE 108 LLC, one invoice a month, time logged in our portal and the intellectual property assigned to you.
Choosing where to start
You do not need to have chosen a stack before you talk to us. An idea that needs testing starts as an MVP; a product sold to many customers is a SaaS build; an internal process or a customer portal is a web application; systems that need to exchange data are API and integration work; and a system that works but holds the business back is modernisation, often with a cloud migration beside it.
The stack is then chosen for the work, your team and your running costs, not for what we happen to prefer. Our largest practice is C# and .NET on Azure, with Python, Java, Angular, React, Vue and mobile engineers beside it, and we take on whatever stack an existing system already runs on.
Built, run and taken over by the same team
We run our own company on a platform we built: hiring, onboarding, contracts, time tracking, leave, compensation and invoicing, on .NET, Angular and Azure. We also take over systems other teams wrote: nine so far, the oldest from 2008, and a take-over starts with a read-only review and a written list of risks. Read the case study.
Questions about custom software solutions
We have not chosen a technology yet. Can you help?
Yes. We recommend a stack for the work, your existing team and your running costs, list the alternatives we considered, and write the recommendation down so you can check it with anyone you trust.
Do you deliver projects or provide developers?
Both. A project comes with a scope, a plan and a technical lead on our side who owns the result; dedicated engineers join your team and work under your lead. An engagement can start as one and become the other.
How is the work contracted and billed?
One agreement with BIG TREE 108 LLC and one invoice a month. Time is logged in our own portal and the invoice is produced from the same figures, so the hours you approve and the hours you pay for never differ.
Who owns the software you build?
You do. Every specialist has a signed contract with BigTree108 that assigns all work product to the company, and our agreement with you assigns it onward. Code, designs and documents are delivered into your own repositories and tools, not kept where only we can change them.
Not sure which of these you need?
Describe the problem, the users and any system that already exists. You get an answer within one business day: a recommendation on where to start and a plan for the first step.
